Organizadores: Coorganizadores: Auspiciador Plata: Con el apoyo: Welcome Dear Ladies and Gentlemen: On behalf of the National Superintendence of Sanitation Services - SUNASS, I am pleased to present the II Ibero-American Forum on Regulation (FIAR) "Contribution of regulation to sustainable economic growth and citizens quality life ". This event will be held at Los Delfines Hotel, on 1st and 2nd October 2009, in which they discuss topics of great interest from the perspective of each regulated industry such as water and sanitation, energy, telecommunications and transportation. The event is organized by the four regulators in Peru: •   Supervisory Agency for Investment in Infrastructure Public Transport – OSITRAN •   Supervisory Agency for Private Investment in Telecommunications – OSIPTEL •   Supervisory Agency for Investment in Energy and Mining – OSINERGMIN • National Superintendence of Sanitation Services – SUNASS. Note that the I Ibero-American Forum on regulation was developed in Mexico City in July 2008, and Peru is the responsible for organizing the forum this year. Within the framework of this meeting weare seeking to consolidate the foundations of achieving effective regulation in Latin America, which promotes a balance between the interests of users and private agents goals and objectives of public interest, which is why this meeting has been called "Contribution of regulation to sustainable economic growth and citizens quality life ". This forum will gather international and national experts from various agencies, representatives of the operating companies and national, regional and local authorities, all interested in supporting and promoting improvements in public services, services that will result economically efficient and financially sustainable. There will also be side events, business meetings and an operators trade show , spaces that will allow interaction between the different actors involved in the markets.
